One other story from today's paper: a recap of how the Sunday morning talk shows dealt with the passing of Tim Russert.

Matt Lauer's interview this morning with Luke Russert. It's interesting to see that, for much of it, Matt is far closer to tears than Luke.

I watched it and couldn't believe the strength of his son.

The Boss' dedication of Thunder Road was pretty cool. Its fitting that those two were friends. Both seem to be great guys.

Oh wow...I watched the interview just now and am take aback by Luke's poise during this time. My goodness, he has so much of his father in him.

I think the thing that has struck me the most in watching all of the retrospectives on Tim Russert is the child-like enthusiasm he lived his life with. I love that. I want to remember than and strive to live life like that.

Imus was a mess this AM too.

Bob Costas briefly mentioned it last night during Golf coverage. He spent much longer on Jim McKay, who was an ABC personality. Strange since Russert was an NBC voice.

I couldn't get over Luke Russert this morning. I don't know what he majored in at BC, but I'm sure a lot of people were impressed by his ability to keep it together this morning and thought "I'd hire him."

I always smiled when Tim Russert was on the evening news or Today show. I knew I should listen, I'd get it and not feel like the content was above my head. He did seem like a genuinely good person. The Meet the Press show was very strong yesterday. But I love Tom Brokaw, so...

I saw Luke Russert this morning on the Today Show, too. And I was equally impressed as I'm sure everyone watching was... how could you not? I was left thinking, if some NBC honcho didn't pick up the phone and give that kid a job on air they are crazy. He was eloquent and thoughtful and precise, during what must be a terribly stressful time.

Luke has done some broadcasting already. He had a sports talk show with James Carville on XM.

I liked Conan's tribute on Friday. Russert's "waitlist" line was a classic.
